Den gamla butiken i Örsbäck offers a stylish collection of interior design, decorations, Scandinavian glass, and gifts. Owners, Thord and Chatarina W Jonsson, appreciate Scandinavian design and a majority of the interior details in the store are designed and produced in Sweden.

The store blends traditional pieces and contemporary accents. You may find recycled and vintage items mixed with the contemporary design objects, just like they are in many Scandinavian homes.

The house where the store is located was built in 1951. For more than 35 years, the house was a general store. As an homage to that era, Den Gamla butiken i Örsbäck also offers artisan food, linseed oil soap, and other ecologically produced house hold and body care products.

Den gamla butiken i Örsbäck has received the seal Västerbotten Experience (VX). The recipients of the seal are considered to be of special interest to Västerbotten County as they together work for a sustainable society, cultural experiences and to protect nature.

Easily accessed by car

Örsbäck is a village in the countryside of Nordmaling, a municipality in Västerbotten County in the northern part of Sweden. The village is easily accessed by car and only 8 to 10 minutes away from the European route E4.

Den gamla butiken i Örsbäck is close to nature and only a couple of stone’s throws away from the beautiful river Öre älv. At the same time, it is close to the urban life in Umeå, a city 50 kilometers north of Örsbäck.

May - Mid June: Thursday and Friday 11:00-17:00, Saturday 11:00-16:00. We are also Open Sunday May 7 and Sunday June 4, 11:00-16:00 

Late June - Mid August: Tuesday to Friday 11:00-17:00, Saturday 11:00-16:00
